The whole process is overseen by us, with you not having to do much at all. We aim to make the process as smooth as possible with very little paperwork for you to complete. The process is as follows:
One of our qualified surveyors will carry out an initial survey on your property and complete relevant paperwork
We'll calculate the funding levels available to you and carry out administrative checks, keeping you informed every step of the way
A further in-depth survey is carried out by a qualified retrofit surveyor at your home address to decide what measures can be installed
The cost of any new measures will be assessed then we will arrange for the Installation of all new measures within your home by qualified and accredited ECO4 installers

We understand that you may have a lot of questions, as living in a warm comfortable home is really important! Here are some frequently asked questions:-
- Is it free?
Yes. If you and your property meet the qualifying criteria all the installations from start to finish will be free of charge
- Do I need to be on benefits to qualify?
No. Please read the 'Eligibility' section for all qualifying routes
- Do I have to pay anything back?
No. Everything is fully funded and yours! There is nothing to payback afterwards.
- Do the installations come with warranties?
Yes. The warranties vary dependant upon the product installed. Everything will have some form of manufactures or workmanship warranty/guarantee attached.
- Can I see some installs you have done?

- What type of properties qualify?
Typically, properties with a low energy rating can qualify for the scheme. This means that the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is rated ‘D’ or below. - Where does the money for the scheme come from?
If an energy provider has over 250,000 customers they are obliged to charge their customers a small amount of ‘Green Tax’ which is added onto the customers bill. This money is then kept aside to reinvest into the UK economy to help with carbon emissions. By having more sufficient insulation, renewable central heating and solar you are heavily reducing your properties impact on the environment.
- Who completes the work?
You will only be dealing with LD ECO LTD from start to finish for all aspects of your installation who we work in partnership with. We will carry out all the administrative duties as well as the overseeing the progress of the installations and being here for you post installation with an exceptional after care service.
- I've had my survey, what happens next?
Timescales can very depending on the works that are being carried out at your property and are individual to each customer. However you will be updated every step of the way with regular contact throughout your entire journey with HSS so you can be sure that everything is done to fit in around your lifestyle. The biggest delays come from waiting for GP's to provide us with medical evidence supporting a health issue and also some Councils taking a long time to review the application before releasing the Grant.
- When will I receive my paperwork?
Times may vary but we aim for 8-12 weeks maximum post install.
